Family histories are the core of our services. We do more than digitize and organize your photos – a member our skilled team will sit down with you and your family to find the best way to tell your story and guide you through the storytelling process. We listen to your story, and, through thoughtful research and interviews, create a cohesive story of your family’s past. You decide the scope, content, and who speaks – we listen and write.
AFH can also come to you! We are currently operating in the Lower Mainland, and can come to wherever you are. We will provide the same services as we do digitally, namely recording family stories and digitizing materials. We understand that security is a high concern – sending your materials, talking over Zoom, and other middle steps can cause unnecessary stress. Let us come to you! Following COVID precautions, we can come to your residence, set up a scanner and other recording devices, and get to work.
AFH is also available to record events in real-time and create a record for future enjoyment. Going beyond event photography and filming, AFH will act as an archival team, collecting papers, pamphlets, and other materials from your event. Like a scrapbook for the event, these are then compiled into an online archive.
